Flowers Are Picked
Our flowers are freshly picked from the wild & our gardens here on the farm
Flowers Are Pressed Dry
The Flowers are placed and then pressed & dried using flower drying pads from Japan. The high absorbency of the pads makes it possible to dry the flowers quickly, usually in 3-4 days. This allows the flowers to retain their colors. The pads may be reused over & over by a short session in a microwave oven to discharge the absorbed moisture.
Arrange Dried Flowers
Selected dried flowers are arranged on either on felt or Japanese rice paper
Placing Dessicant Pack
Place an oxygen/moisture absorber onto special industrial foil from Japan so it will be behind the felt or rice paper to be sealed into the final composition
Positioning the Glass with Frame Mat
Position the glass with the frame mat so that the composition is aligned
Tack Foil to Glass
Tack the foil to the glass with flowers, felt & desiccant pack sandwiched between using special resin
Time to Vacuum Seal
Vacuum sealing process with special Japanese pump & step up transformer to match US voltage, removes all air and is the key to preserve the flowers colors for years to come.

About our Process of
into Framed Flower Garden Art:
A brief overview of how we create our unique & one of a kind pressed flower art is illustrated above
Our flowers are pressed & dried using flower drying pads from Japan. The high absorbency of the pads makes it possible to dry the flowers quickly, usually in 7-12 days. This allows the flowers to retain their colors. The pads may be reused over & over by a short session in a microwave oven to discharge the absorbed moisture.
After pressing, the flowers are arranged on felt or special rice paper. The final arrangement is then vacuum sealed between the frame's glass and a special airtight foil backing along with desiccant that absorbs any remaining moisture & oxygen. This vacuum sealing process, developed in Japan, protects the flowers from oxidizing and turning brown.
Cherish your keepsake pressed flowers by creating a work of framed art which preserves your sentiment and memories of the event or for years to come
To Care for Your Framed Flower Garden:
Your FramedFlowerGarden Art should be hung in a cool spot, free of humidity and out of direct sun. Even indirect UV light rays will effect it over time.
We have made very effort to ensure that your pressed flower art will last a lifetime, however, because these are real flowers and botanicals, changes in color or fading are normal and are to be expected. The art should be handled with very gentle care. Avoid displaying your art in direct sunlight or in excessively humid conditions.
To clean your FramedFlowerGarden Art, use spray window cleaner, first on a towel or soft cloth, then wipe the surface of the art. Be very careful not to puncture the foil backing as this will break the vacuum seal preserving.
CMFA Framed Flower Gardens is not responsible for changes in colors, textures or deterioration of flowers once the Pressed Flower Art leaves our studio.
Thank you for the adding a Framed Flower Garden Art-piece to your home! We hope that your Framed Flower Garden may become an heirloom that you will enjoy and be handed down for generations to come!
